Shea  Hillenbrand, Speaker

Shea Hillenbrand is a Husband, Father, Entrepreneur, CEO, Author, Zoo Owner, Adventurer, and founder of his non-profit foundation Against All Odds.

Shea attended Mesa Community College in Mesa, AZ where he was drafted in the 10th round by the Boston Red Sox.

Shea was the #1 high school Soccer player in the state of AZ, the #1 Junior College Baseball Player in the state of Az.

Shea played for the Boston Red Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, Toronto Blue Jays, San Francisco Giants, Anaheim Angels, And Los Angeles Dodgers.

He represented the Boston Red Sox and the Toronto Blue Jays in MLB All-star Game. He hit 3 home runs in consecutive innings for the Arizona Diamondbacks and played first base in Randy Johnson’s Perfect game. He can be seen in the movie Money Ball, and on HGTV’s hit Tv shows House Hunters and House Hunters International.

He has appeared in multiple commercials including a Gatorade commercial with some other guy named Derick Jeter and Shea has an Emmy® Award-Winning TV Show on Netflix.

Shea has performed in front of and spoken to millions of people sharing his message of how to transform failure into UNSTOPPABLE SUCCESS through his Emmy® Award-winning story from stages spanning the globe.

Although Shea has been inducted into the Mt. View High School, the City of Mesa, and Mesa Community College Sports Hall of Fames, by far, his favorite accolade is the Shea Hillenbrand Baseball Field he donated to the Boys and Girls Club in Chandler, Arizona.

Marty Lehn, Speaker

Marty is the Present owner and operator of the Big League Experience (28Years) and was a former Canadian Olympic team coach and MLB Scout. Of his numbers of his signings, his most notable would have been Brett Lawrie who was taken in the 1st round of the 2008 draft when with the Milwaukee Brewers.

As a coach, Marty was honored by being on the coaching staff of the Canadian Olympic Baseball Team that finished fourth at the Olympic games held in Athens, Greece in 2004.

At the International Level he has either been a Head or an Assistant coach for Team Canada at two World Qualifier tournaments (1 Silver), 3 World Championships, 3 Olympic qualifiers (1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals), the Pan American Games (Bronze Medal) and the 2004 Olympic Games (4th place finish).

At the Provincial Level Marty has acted as a Head or Assistant coach with Team B.C. at a number of National tournaments since 1989 and his teams have accumulated 3 Gold and 3 Silver Medals.

He was the Canadian Coach of the Year in 1998, BC Coach of the year in 1997 as well as a Guest coach with the Toronto Blue Jays and Chicago White Sox organizations.

Marty played and coached at Southeastern Louisiana University (NCAA Division 1 Program) where he completed a Master's Degree in Exercise Science and Health Performance and an undergraduate degree in Physical Education.

Eric Ruben, Speaker

Eric Ruben is a Master Instructor and PNW Regional Director at Tom House Sports National Pitching Association. He has been associated with the National Pitching Association since 2015.

A graduate of Walton High in Marietta, GA, class of 1982, Eric pursued his education at Kennesaw State and the University of Georgia, specializing in Broadcast Journalism. Remaining closely connected to the field, he embarked on his coaching journey in 1991. Before relocating to Bellingham, Washington in 2017 he co-founded Premier Baseball of Georgia and spent eight years at Windward Baseball Academy, (Alpharetta, GA), where he built and led competitive teams.

Since the year 2000, Eric has played a pivotal role in training and supporting over 320 college players and contributing to the success of 18 MLB draft picks.

His high school coaching career includes assistant coaching roles at Riverwood High School (Sandy Springs, GA) (Final 8 in 2000), Milton High School (Alpharetta, GA) from 2004 to 2007, including a State Championship in 2004, and Cambridge High School, making the playoffs each year from 2013 to 2015. Eric also served as The Galloway School Head Coach in 2003 and was the American Legion Coach at Post 201 (Alpharetta, GA) from 2012 to 2013.

From 2007 to 2023, Eric contributed as an Associate Scout for the Atlanta Braves in the SE and PNW regions.

Beyond his coaching roles, Eric has made significant contributions as a technical baseball consultant for five major feature films: "Parental Guidance" (2012), "Trouble with The Curve" (2012), "Million Dollar Arm" (2013), "Blended" (2013), and "The King of Staten Island" (2019). He also served as a technical consultant on the USA Network's "Necessary Roughness" and is currently engaged in the CW Network's "All American Homecoming."

Currently residing in Bellingham, WA, Eric shares his home with his wife Tami, grandson Jayson, three dogs, one cat, and a turtle.

Dong Lien, Speaker

In the world of professional baseball, few names command as much respect and admiration as Dong Lien. A world series champion strength and conditioning coach, Lien's illustrious career spanning 17 seasons has been defined by a relentless pursuit of excellence, unwavering dedication, and an unyielding commitment to the athletes he serves.

Early Life and Education: Dong Lien's journey to becoming a renowned figure in the world of sports began with humble roots. Raised with a deep appreciation for athleticism and hard work, Lien's upbringing instilled in him the values of discipline, perseverance, and the pursuit of knowledge. He pursued his Bachelor of Exercise Sports Science degree in Athletic Therapy, laying the foundation for his future endeavors.

Professional Career: Lien's career in professional baseball is nothing short of remarkable. Over the course of 17 seasons, he honed his craft, distinguishing himself as a dual-certified athletic trainer and strength & conditioning coach. His tenure with the Philadelphia Phillies, spanning a decade, marked a period of unparalleled success for both Lien and the organization. As part of the coaching staff, Lien played an integral role in the team's triumphs, including the 2008 World Series Championship and the 2009 National League Championship.

Working alongside legendary athletes such as Hall of Famer Roy Halladay, Jim Thome, Shane Victorino, Jamie Moyer, Brad Lidge, Bryce Harper, Aaron Nola, and J.T. Realmuto, Lien's expertise and guidance propelled these individuals to new heights of excellence, both on and off the field.

In 2023, he worked with MLB and the World Baseball Classic as the strength & conditioning coordinator on-site in Tokyo, Japan. And during the summer, he worked at MLB Draft Combine in Phoenix, AZ.

Educational Pursuits: Driven by a relentless pursuit of knowledge and innovation, Dong Lien continued to expand his expertise, earning a Master of Science degree in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention. Armed with a deep understanding of sports science and human physiology, Lien's insights and methodologies revolutionized the way athletes trained and prepared for competition.Philanthropy and Community Engagement: Beyond the confines of the baseball diamond, Dong Lien's impact extends far and wide. Committed to giving back to the community that shaped him, Lien founded the non-profit organization, Make a Movement. Partnering with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lehigh Valley, PA, Make a Movement empowers young individuals through sports, education, and mentorship, fostering a sense of belonging and opportunity for future generations.

Personal Life: Outside of his professional endeavors, Dong Lien finds fulfillment in his roles as a husband and father. Married to Tara Miller, Lien is a devoted father to his daughter, Ryley, cherishing the moments spent with his family amidst the demands of his career.

Transition to Vancouver: In February 2022, Dong Lien embarked on a new chapter in his life, relocating to Vancouver, British Columbia. Embracing the natural beauty and vibrant community of North Vancouver, Lien continues to make a profound impact on the world of athletics, training athletes throughout British Columbia and collaborating with esteemed clubs such as the North Shore Twins, Langley Blaze, North Shore Baseball Association, Lynn Valley Little League, Mount Seymour Little League, Langley SS Academy, and Baseball BC.

Legacy: As Dong Lien's journey continues to unfold, his legacy serves as a testament to the transformative power of passion, perseverance, and purpose. Through his unwavering commitment to excellence, Lien has not only shaped the lives of countless athletes but has also inspired a generation to strive for greatness in all endeavors.

Pro coaches will run through demonstrations and tutorials that take you from the foundations and beyond.  Sessions include: arm care & pitching, hitting, baseball movements and the speed & agility training needed to take youth athletes to the next level. All players also leave with a tailored workout plan that they can continue at home to develop their skills.
